Sharon Solomon

Growing up in a Pennsylvania steel town, Sharon and her twin sister spent hours at the Carnegie Free Library. Now, writing is as much a passion for Sharon as reading. Her favorite author is John Steinbeck and she loves reading Erik Larson’s narrative nonfiction.

Retired elementary reading specialist turned children’s author, Sharon's genres range from science plays to picture books, middle grade, and young adult novels. Sharon is an active member of SCBWI and a judge for the Royal Palm Literary Awards from the Florida Writers’ Association.

Her books include: A Walk with Grandma (AimHi Press/Newhouse Creative Group), Primary Science Readers Theatre (Pieces of Learning), A Walk with Grandpa (Raven Tree Press), Ride High with the Wave (The Gettier Group), James Smith Four Years a Mohawk (Amazon), and picture book biographies Lewis Tewanima Born to Run, Cathy Williams Buffalo Soldier, and Christopher Newport Jamestown Explorer (Pelican Publishing).
