Mark H. Newhouse

Mark is grateful his novel, The Devil’s Bookkeepers 1, about the Holocaust ghetto his parents miraculously survived, won the Gold Medal Historical Fiction and Best Published Book of the Year from the Florida Writers Association. Recently, NCG published Book 2 and 3 to 5 Star reviews. All three books are in the top 100 of their categories.

 A Retired NY teacher, New York State Reading Association Teacher of the Year, Mark, aka Energizer Rabbit,  is State Chairperson of the Florida Writers Association Youth Program, and a FWA Director as well as founder of Writers League of The Villages, the Central Florida Book & Author Expo and the founder and Top Cat of Writers 4 Kids. He writes the Writing Bug column in Village Neighbors magazine. Known for his award-winning mysteries, Welcome to Monstrovia; The Case of the Disastrous Dragon, and The Case of the Crazy Chickenscratches, as well as the Rockhound Science Mysteries. His picture books, illustrated by Dan Traynor, include Alice in Batsylvania; Passover Puppy Coloring Book; Santa’s Speeding Ticket; A Bite Before Christmas, and Dreidel Dog.  He enjoys live and online presentations for children, teachers, and institutions.  Limited copies of his books will be available for purchase and signing.
